About IES: Programs

The following list is comprised of sponsored research programs operated under the IES directly or under its organizational units. Since 1995, the IES and Centers have received over 30 million dollars in funding from a number of sources. Activities for this funding have included (1) providing national and regional technical assistance, (2) operating national clearinghouses; (3) organizing meetings; (4) conducting diverse studies; (5) producing and disseminating monographs and newsletters; (6) creating and maintaining websites; presenting at national conferences; (7) evaluating programs; and, (8) conducting quantitative research.

Many of these activities have been conducted with the collaboration of subcontractors and partners, including:

In addition to the sponsored programs in the table above, the Institute for Education Studies has also implemented numerous U. S. Department of Education contract task order activities in conjunction with NCELA, the National Clearinghouse for English Language Acquisition and Language Instruction Educational programs (formerly NCBE, the National Clearinghouse for Bilingual Education).
